The Kelby is the most magical little boutique motel I’ve ever stayed in. The kindest owners, most aesthetically pleasing rooms, and beautiful lake side location. We started the day with a honey cardamom latte at the boutique Kaffé and a walk to the lake. My daughter enjoyed saying hi to the ducks and exploring the gift shop. Perfect winter wonderland escape. Couldn’t recommend this place any more! Can’t wait to visit in summer. You must go!
The Kelby Motel is a gem! Beautifully decorated with a generous policy of free coffee/lattes for guests at a delightful Kaffe and Shoppe. We found the rooms to be very clean and well appointed with a little kitchenette that had everything we wanted. We were just 10 minutes down the road from Last Chair Brewery - an awesome place for a meal and drinks. We will stay again and thank Kelby for a wonderful stay!
We loved staying at the Kelby for the long weekend. We received the warmest welcome from owners, Anna and Frank. We delighted in the magical setting covered in fresh snow. We loved the renovated room decor and kitchenette in our spacious room. We walked across the street to take in the frozen lake and then warmed up with a delicious coffee from the artfully decorated coffee shop. There was fresh fruit and pastries! The kids loved exploring the grounds. Highly recommend checking it out!
Stayed here a couple nights and it was a fabulous getaway from the crowded areas. The nights were very peaceful and we slept great. The single floor and patio area is a flashback to better days of the motel experience. Inside was very clean and stylish. The lobby was a great place to hang out. Love the coffee shop gourmet brews and comfortable seating. Beach across street was easy to get to. I went swimming in Newfound Lake. Brisk and relaxed afterwards. Plymouth is a short drive for restaurants or closer local places also. Great stay and I recommend.
My friends and I stayed here while we were up in the area for a wedding. I honestly can not speak more highly of this place. It is absolutely beautiful. We were greeted by one of the owners when we arrived and by another the next morning in their very own coffee/ boutique shop. You can really tell that they have put their heart and soul into this! Places like this are very far and few to find.
We had a magical stay at The Kelby. Beautiful setting, cozy rooms, close to ski mountains (Ragged Mountain was great). Most of all the hospitality - Anna and Frank were so warm and welcoming. The little shop & cafe was such a treat - tasty coffee & cocoa and so many fun gifts to look at. The entire experience was lovely. We'll be back soon!

I had a great experience at The Kelby and would highly recommend this place to others! It was in a great location surrounded by natural beauty. The motel has been recently renovated, and the rooms are comfortable, clean, and cute as can be. There are sweet touches around the property - beautiful flowers, porch chairs, hand-painted outdoor building, and chickens and ducks - that make this place a treat to visit. The Kaffe + Shoppe are BEAUTIFUL, and we had so much fun exploring the hand-picked items in the store.
